by: Robert Allen Tuesday, May 11th, 2010

“Youth Appreciation Week” Livingston Bike Rodeo is on Saturday, May 29th at Livingston High School (side parking lot on Madonna Drive).

3 p.m. Registration for attendees…Rodeo from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.  Event hosted by the Livingston Police Department and assisted by the Livingston Robotics Club.

Get on your BIKE, take a spin to the Oval!   Learn safety tips while practicing healthy riding skills!
This is a great opportunity for kids who are new to riding a bicycle or those with a few years experience!  All riders will gain experience riding in simulated traffic conditions, maneuvering around obstacles and obeying signals.  Children with training wheels will learn how to balance, start and stop!  Children will also be challenged in slow races!  Our course instructors will perform a safety inspection, teach proper riding etiquette, and promote the health benefits associated with safe cycling.

Safe biking is for everyone in town and this is the perfect time to refine skills and learn new ones. The Police Department will also be registering all bikes in town! All cyclists must wear a helmet and bring a bicycle in good working condition!

The Oval will be closed, so the entrance to the Bike Rodeo will be on Madonna Drive.
