On October 3, 2009, the Pennies for Puppies Collection Drive kicked-off with a presentation by Anita Eigen and Campie (a 4 1/2 year old Golden Retriever) about the wonderful work these dogs do for their human companions. The event began with a DVD about The Seeing Eye followed by questions and answers. Campie is an Ambassador from The Seeing Eye and frequently visits schools and community organizations to raise awareness and support for this essential service for the blind. The  Livingston Youth and Community Services (LYCS) program in collaboration with community organizations will be collecting pennies and cotton towels from October 2009 through January 2010. A puppy will be ‘adopted’ by Livingston before the end of the school year. Please join us in this worthy campaign. Call Susan Ridley, Director LYCS 973-535-2646, email: lycs@livingston.org or visit our website: www.livingstonlycs.org for further information or to host an event.
