Chess Tournament for Players Grades 1-8 – February 20, 2010

The 4th Annual King of the Hill Chess Tournament will take place at the Lincoln-Hubbard School, Summit, NJ on Saturday, February 20th beginning at 9:00 a.m. for sign-in until the award presentation at 2:00 p.m.  All players in grades 1 through 8 are welcome to participate! Grades 6-8 must play in the open section. Grades 1-5 can play in either their grade or in the open section (sections may be combined based on number of participants). This is an unrated tournament. Each match will be 30 minutes long. Participation is limited to the first 100 registrants.  No prior tournament experience is necessary. However, participants should have a good understanding of the rules of tournament play.  Chess sets and snacks will be provided for players. Medals are given to each participant; trophies are awarded to top three finishers in each section.  Please register by February 12th and pay only $25 for early bird registration.
