Livingston Parents Night Out: Friday, May 28th!

by: Robert Allen Thursday, April 29th, 2010

As part of Livingston’s 15th Annual Youth Appreciation Week, the Youth Appreciation Week Committee is planning “Parents Night Out.”  On Friday night, May 28th, the Township of Livingston and participating local restaurants will be giving the parents of Livingston’s children a break.

Livingston’s Department of Senior, Youth and  Leisure Services (SYLS) in partnership with the West Essex YMCA will be providing a supervised Mini Camp for Livingston children. This event is being held to encourage parents to enjoy a night out without worrying about a babysitter or what to do with their kids.

From 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., Livingston children, ages 3 ½ to 12 years, will be able to enjoy supervised activities, healthy snacks and a movie while their parents dine at one of our local Livingston restaurants. Local participating restaurants will be giving a discount to those parents who take advantage of Livingston’s “Parents Night Out” opportunity.

Pre-Registration is required. Go to www.livingstonnj.org or click here to access a  registration form online or go to the Senior, Youth & Leisure Services office at 204 North Hillside Avenue to register in person.

What better way to enjoy a Spring Friday night and to kick off a holiday weekend than to have your children at a supervised Mini Camp while you enjoy a special night out!
