Livingston Youth and Community Services (LYCS) Plans Programs for 2009-10 School Year

We have planned some exciting new programming for the 2009-2010 school year. All Livingston students are invited to join us. Leaders is a community-based, after-school program providing leadership, character education and substance abuse prevention education to Grades 3-12.

Sept 10, 2009, Introduction to Peer to Peer: 5:30-7:00 p.m. @ Monmouth Court Community Center (pizza and refreshments provided)

Sept 24, 2009, Peer to Peer Organizational Meeting: 5:30-7:00 p.m. @ Monmouth Court Community Center (pizza and refreshments provided)

October 2009, Grades 3-8 classes start

October 28, 2009, Parent Education: “15 Min Child-break with Drug Free NJ” @ Livingston Library 9:45 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. (refreshments provided) *This is an LMAC Red Ribbon Week program.

October 31, 2009, Family Social and Halloween Party, 2:00-4:00 p.m. @ Monmouth Court Community Center

In addition, we provide family socials, Swim & Gym, family educational workshops and community service opportunities. There is a $55 registration fee, but scholarships are available by calling Susan Ridley 973-535-2646 or emailing: LYCS has pledged that no child is turned away because of financial difficulties.
