Publishing Workshop for Teens at Livingston Public Library – Sunday, February 7, 2010

Teens interested in creative writing or publishing are invited to take part in a free workshop featuring editor/writer Kerri Smith Majors at the Livingston Public Library on Sunday, February 7th @ 2:30. Kerri Majors has an M.F.A. from Columbia University, and currently teaches writing at Fairleigh Dickinson University. She is the editor and co-founder of the Young Adult Review Network (YARN), an online creative writing magazine that features fiction, essays, poetry and author interviews written by or for teens.

Ms. Majors will talk about what editors look for, and how to improve your writing. Participants are encouraged, but not required, to bring a sample of their fiction or poetry to share anonymously with the group.

Refreshments will be served. Space is limited and registration is required.
