Teen Dating Abuse Program at Library on February 3rd

by: Robert Allen Friday, January 22nd, 2010

The public is invited to a free community presentation of “Teen Dating Abuse–The Untold Story” at the Livingston Library on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. This workshop is sponsored by the NCJW Teen Dating Abuse Project. Studies show that one out of three teens has been involved in an abusive dating relationship. This comprehensive multi-media presentation will help you recognize the warning signs of dating abuse and how to encourage teens to develop healthy relationships.

Congress has declared the month of February as National Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month (NTDVAPM). On January 25, 2010, the Livingston Town Council will issue a proclamation confirming  Livingston’s support of the congressional proclamation, and recognizing the NCJW  Teen Dating Abuse Project’s ongoing educational efforts to end teen dating abuse.
